COM was the major software development platform for Windows and, as such, influenced development of a number of supporting technologies.
An advantage of COM+ was that it could be run in "component farms". Instances of a component, if coded properly, could be pooled and reused by new calls to its initializing routine without unloading it from memory. Components could also be distributed (called from another machine).
.NET provides rapid development tools similar to Visual Basic for both Windows Forms and Web Forms with just-in-time compilation, back-end code can be implemented in any .NET Language including C#, Visual Basic and C++.

Character and Paragraph Formatting |
|
HTML to RTF Pro DLL offers all the formatting over character and paragraph presentation and that you would expect from a fully fledged word processing.
Applications created with HTML to RTF Pro DLL provide rich character formatting options, including font size, font family, character style, foreground and background colors.
All formatting options can be combined with one another, making the possible formatting options almost infinite.
Flexible paragraph formatting such as indentation, many types of tabs, variable line and paragraph spacing, and paragraph frames offer a variety of formatting opportunities.

Headers and Footers |
|
A header or footer is text or other information such as graphics or tables that is stored at the top or bottom of the page throughout a document. End-users can use the same header and footer throughout a document or change the header and footer for part of the document.
For example, you can use your corporate logo in the first-page header, and then include the document's file name in the header for subsequent pages.

Page and Document Settings |
|
Using page and document settings, the appearance of the page and the word processing document can be set.
Page settings define the on-screen display of a document, which includes scrollbar settings and page display.
Document settings include, paper size, printer paper source, page orientation (portrait or landscape) and margin settings. The top, bottom, left and right margins can be set independently of each other.
